Kuten kerroin kuun alussa olleen loman aikana teimme todella paljon ystävieni kanssa. Melkein joka päivä oli täyttä juoksua paikasta a paikkaan b ja niin edelleen, mutta hauskaa oli, vaikka loma olikin suhteellisen väsyttävä, sillä emme ehtineet lepäämään paljoa. Saimme uuden asukkaan huhtikuun lopussa huoneistoomme ja ystävystyin todella nopesti hänen kanssaan, harmittaa, että kesti näinkin pitkää tutustua edes yhteen uuten vapaaehtoiseen. Tämäkin tutustuminen tapahtui pakon edessä, sillä hän muutti asuntoomme, mutta ei se haittaa, sillä hän on mukava!
As I told in the beginning of the month, during our holiday, I did a lot with my friends. Almost everyday were running from location a to location b and so on, but we had fun even that the vacation was quite tiring since we didn't rest that much. We got a new roommate into our apartment in the end on April and I got to know her really fastly. It's a little sad that it took us this long to get to know each other, since she is the first one of the new volunteers who I became friends with. Even that it was forced meeting, since she moved into here, I don't mind because she is really nice company!

Tosiaan vappu oli vapaata ja juhlimme silloin uuden huonekaverin syntymäpäivää. Lähdimme kotoa ja suuntasimme tapaamaan Deniseä Cube Cafeen, jossa vietimme jonkin aikaa jutellen mukavia ja herkutellen ihme jälkiruoan sekä juomien parissa. Cube Cafesta suuntasimme kävelleen katsastamaan muita viihdetoimistoja lähistöllä ja kävelimme Apgujeong rodeo metroasemalle ja otimme metron kohti Hyehwaa. Seoulissa on monta pientä asuinaluetta, jossa rakennusten seiniin on maalailtu erilaisia katutaiteita ja yksi näistä sijaitsee pienen kukkulan päällä Hyehwan lähistöllä. Kävelimme siellä kameroidemme kanssa ja väsyttyämme aurinkoon ja riittävästi nähtyämme otimme bussin Jongnoon, kävelimme Insadongin halki ja ostimme joitakin korealaisia herkkuja ja pelejä sekä kävimme Jogyesa temppelillä katsastamassa lootuslyhtyjä. Tämän jälkeen suuntasimme Myeongdongille, jossa May tapasi työkavereitaan illallisen parissa ja kävin syömässä toisen kaverin kanssa dakgalbia ennen kuin suuntasimme takaisin kotia kohti.
So Mayday we had a day off and we were celebrating the new girls birthday. First we went to meet Denise in Cube Cafe where we spended some time talking and eating. From there we went to see the other entertainment buildings in the area and walked to the Apgujeong rodea subway. From there we took the subway towards Hyeahwa. In Seoul there's few areas that has paintings on the walls of houses and one of these is located on a top of a hill near Hyeahwa station. We were walking around with out cameras until we got tired of the sun and we took the bus towards to Jongno. We walked through Insadong, bought some korean snacks and games and went to see the lanterns at Jogyesa temple. After this we went to Myeongdong where May met her coworkers for dinner and I headed to eat some dakgalbi with out other friend.

Lauantaina vierailimme riisikakku museossa, joka oli suhteellisen tylsä eikä siellä ollut ketään meidän lisäksemme. Sen jälkeen suuntasimme Jongmyo temppelille ja nälän iskiessä kävelimme Gwangjang ruokatorille, josta ostimme muutamia katuruokia. Ostimme bindaetteokia, mayak kimbapia, kanaa sekä tteokbokkia ja lähdimme pieneen puistikkoon syömään. Syömisen jälkeen suuntasimme tapaamaan Marcya Insadongilla ja vierailimme ddung (kakka) kahvilassa. Minulla oli illallista tapaaminen ystäväni kanssa Ilsanissa, joten lähdin suhteellisen pian kahvin jälkeen metrolle ja kohti Ilsania. Vietin yön Ilsanissa kaverini kanssa ja palasin kotiin aamun ensimmäisellä junalla.

After shopping all the items we went to a little part to eat out lunch and met Marcy at Insadong. Sunnuntaina menimme Myeongdongille tarkoituksena oli käydä koirakahvilassa, mutta koska se oli täynnä suuntasimme kakkukahvilaan, jossa sai ilmaisen keksin tilauksen yhteydessä. Söimme ja menimme tapaamaan Denisen työkaveria elokuvien parissa. Katsoimme Amazing Spiderman 2:sen, joka osoittautui minulle liian tylsäksi ja nukuinkin osan elokuvasta, tietenkin väsymykseeni vaikutti myös edellisen yön venyminen aina aamulle asti. Elokuvan jälkeen kävimme syömässä japanilaista ruokaa ja menimme kotiin pelaamaan GoStoppia.

Together we went to see Amazing Spiderman 2, which was quite boring and I ended up sleeping most of the movie (also one reason could be that I hadn't slept that much on the night before). After the movie we ate some japanese food and came to home to play some GoStop and talk nonsense.

Maanantaina suuntasimme jälleen Myeongdongille shoppailun merkeissä. Muutaman tunnin shoppailun jälkeen kävimme syömässä jälleen japanilaista ruokaa ja sitten suuntasimme yrittämään uudestaan koirakahvilaa, ja myöhäisen ajankohdan johdosta kahvila ei ollut kauhean täysi joten vietimme siellä muutaman tunnin. Minulla oli kauhea ikävä kahvilan koiria, varsinkin sitä mäyräkoiraa johon rakastuin. Koirakahvilan jälkeen palasimme kotiin ja väsyneinä kaikesta hälinästä menimmekin melkein heti nukkumaan. Tiistai menikin sitten lepäilyn parissa. Meillä oli tarkoitus lähteä käymään Dongdaemunilla ja Namsan Hanok kylässä, mutta lopulta muutimme suunnitelmat ja muut jäivät kotiin lepäämään kun itse silloin suuntasin keskustaan kahvilaan blogin päivittelyn pariin.
On Monday we went again to Myeongdong, this time our plan was to do some shopping. After a few hours of shopping we went to eat dinner at a japanese restaurant and afterwards we decided to give a new try for the dog cafe. Because of the late time the cafe was not so crowded so we went inside and spended there few hours. I really missed the dogs in the cafe, especially the dachshund that I fell in love with. After the cafe we went to home and slept quite fast since we were all tired. On Tuesday we ended up resting the whole day. We were planning to go to Dongdaemun and Namsan Hanok village, but in the end we changed the plans and the others stayed at home and rested when I left to a coffeehouse to update my blog.

Toissa viikkona sitten vietinkin kaksi yötä Ilsanissa ystävieni kanssa ja söin todella paljon herkullista ruokaa. Lähinnä söimme vain samgyeopsalia, mutta vierailimme eräässä kuuluissa ravintolassa syömässä korealaisesta lihasta tehtyä samgyeopsalia, joka oli todella hintavaa, mutta maku oli sitäkin suurenmoisempi. Ensimmäistä kertaa myös uskaltauduin juomaan Sojua enemmän kuin yhden hörpyn ja ei se nyt loppujen lopuksi niin kauheaa myrkkyä ole kuin olen aina ajatellut. Ihan juotavaa, kun hyvä ruoka ja seura on tarjolla sen kanssa.

Mostly we ate samgyeopsal, but we visited in one really famous restaurant which serves samgyeopsal made from korean beef and it had it's price, but it was even more delicious than I had imagined. Also for the first time I had enought courage to drink more than one shot of soju, and in the end it's not as awful as I have feared, but I still don't like it. It's fine to drink with good food and company.

Viime viikko meni suhteellisen normaalisti lukuunottamatta sitä, että minulla oli kauheasti suunnitelmia viikonlopulle. Suurin osa suunnitelmista kuitenkin peruuntui, tai siirtyivät joten selvisin viikonlopusta kunnialla. Aluksi oli tarkoitus viettää perjantai yö Ilsanissa ja lauantaina sitten olikin luvassa kolme eri tapaamista, mutta lauantain tapaamisista vain yksi tapahtuikin. Perjantain tosiaan vietin jälleen Ilsanissa ja tutustuin uusiin ihmisiin, lauantaina tapasin kaverini kahvin parissa Gangnamissa ja illalla menimme kotiporukan ja korealaisen ystävämme kanssa vierailemaan läheisessä 9 kerroksisessa Emartissa tekemässä tuliais- ja ruokaostoksia. Ostosten jälkeen istuttiin porukalla keittiön lattialla syöden yöpalaa ja muutaman oluen saattelemana ilta venyi aamuun asti. Sunnuntaina sitten menin Denisen ja Marcyn kanssa Jongnoon, kävimme Insadongilla leikkimässä purikurassa ja sen jälkeen menimme sitten syömään illallista ystävämme kanssa.
Last week went by normally expect for that I had a lot plans for the weekend. In the end most of the plans got cancelled or changed to another day so I survived the weekend well. First it was planned that I spend Friday night in Ilsan and on Saturday I was supposed to have three different meeting, but in the end only one of these happened. I did spend Friday night in Ilsan and got new friends there, on Saturday I met a friend in Gangnam and had coffee with him and in the evening we went to visit Emart to make some shopping as souvenirs and food for home. After shopping we came home, made some food and ate in the kitchen floor. With few drinks we ended up spending time until the early hours. On Sunday I went to Jongno with Denise and Marcy. We took some purikura at Insadong and after that we had a dinner with our friend.

Tekemistä riittää ja pitäisi tässä valmistautua myös jossain vaiheessa kotiinpaluuseenkiin, sillä ei siihenkään ole enää kauhesti aikaa. Alkaa vähän jo ahdistamaan ajatus koti Suomesta, kun mikään ei tunnu muuttuneen siellä, sama elämä odottaa kuin minulla oli sieltä lähtiessäkin. Stressaan siis sitä kuinka "uusi" minä pystyy sopeutumaan takaisin "vanhaan" arkeen. Joka tapauksessa aion nyt nauttia tästä loppuajasta täällä ja yritän olla stressaamatta liikaa. Tänä viikonloppuna suuntaan Mayn kanssa Busaniin muutamaksi päiväksi, ja odotan kyseistä reissua innolla, sillä pääsen vihdoin näkemään meren ja ottamaan muutaman päivän loman Seoulin kiireestä. Luultavasti kuulette minusta seuraavaan kerran Busanin reissun jälkeen!
I still have a lot to do and I should start getting ready for going home as well, since there's not that much time left for me in here anymore. I'm starting to get little anxious about thinking going home, since it feels like nothing has changed in there. The same life, that I left there when I came to Korea, is waiting for me in Finland. I'm stressing about how the "new" me will be able to fit in to the "old" routine. Anyway I'm trying to enjoy the rest of my time in here and not stress too much. This weekend I'm going to go to Busan for few days, which I'm really excited about because I can finally see the sea and also take a few day holiday from the life in Seoul. I expect you guys will hear from me next time after the trip to Busan!
