Countdown

Kuten blogikuvauksesta pystyy näkemään olen lähdössä Etelä-Koreaan työskentelemään vapaaehtoisena vuoden ajaksi. Lähden kotoa kohti Koreaa 17 päivän päästä, 19. elokuuta. Tällä hetkellä minulla ei ole harmainta aavistusta mitä työtä tulen vuoden aikana tekemään, mutta luultavimmin työ tulee olemaan jotain lapsiin liittyvää. En myöskään tiedä missä asun.

As you can see from my blog description I'm going to South Korea to work as a volunteer for a year. I'll leave from home to Korea in 17 days, 19th of Aug. I have no clue what kind of work I'll do during the year, but I'm pretty sure that the work has something to do with kids. Also I don't know about my accommodation during the year.

 
Kuten huomata saattaa kaikki tarkat tiedot vapaaehtoisvuodestani ovat vielä minulle tuntemattomia. Joka tapauksessa tämä tulee olemaan ensimmäinen kerta kun lähden kotoani näin pitkäksi aikaa, ja kaiken lisäksi lähden yksin. Olen aina matkustanut ystävän tai perheen kanssa, joten vapaaehtoisvuosi tulee olemaan myös matka itsenäistymistä kohti.

So as everyone can see I don't have any certain information about my voluntary year. Anyway I'll leave my home and start a totally different life in 19th of August. This'll be the first time I'm going away from home for such a long time, and also alone. I've always travelled with a friend or family so the voluntary year will be a journey towards becoming more independent.

Pyrin kirjoittamaan mahdollisimman monipuolisesti kaikista jakamisen arvoisista kokemuksistani. Toivon myös että blogistani on jotain hyötyä tuleville vapaaehtoisille, tai ihan vain Koreaan matkaajille. Kommenttia saa laittaa avoimesti, kysymyksiä on suotavaa kysyä ja sähköpostiakin voi laittaa jos haluaa henkilökohtaisempaa vastausta.

I'll write about stuff that I feel will deserve to be shared. I hope that my blog will help upcoming volunteers on their journey and also people who are just going to travel to South Korea. In the next post I'll tell about the reasons why I applied to become a volunteer, about how the application process goes and also few things about myself. With these words I welcome you all to my blog.
